Water Waste: Bottled Water Discussion

picture-1

Wednesday, April 22nd (Earth Day) - 6:30 pm - Room 408
Join us for a discussion with chemistry professor Trace Jordan about the ethical, environmental and health issues surrounding bottled water. We’ll examine the environmental impact of billions of plastic bottles, most of which are discarded in landfills, through their production, transportation and disposal. We’ll also begin to the think about how having a choice between clean tap water and clean bottled water affects the 1 billion people in the world with no access to clean water at all. Finally, we’ll answer the question of whether bottled water really is any cleaner than tap water. Enjoy FREE subway sandwiches while we discuss these important issues.
